Volunteers undergo training in a 32-hour academy where topics including orientation and organization, crime prevention, introduction to law, driver awareness, patrol procedures, traffic control, radio communications and basic report writing. Volunteers also complete a ride-along with a sworn deputy and field training with an experienced posse member. |
