Macomb Co. Sheriff - Animal Control - new condition - The mission of Macomb County Animal Control is to protect the health and safety of residents as well as animals. The Animal Control division's services include pet adoptions, lost and found for pets, animal cruelty and neglect investigations, dog licensing, animal bite reports, and rescue services for domestic animals. Macomb Co. Sheriff - Emergency Support - bp - new condition - The Dispatch Center is staffed 24/7 with telecommunicators and supervisors to ensure that all calls are handled with urgency, and to ensure the proper agency responds as quickly as possible. Macomb Co. Sheriffs Motor Div. - new condition - The sheriff's office has a group of deputies who, in addition to their regular responsibilities are trained in the operation of the motorcycles. They do traffic enforcement, dignitary protection and escort, parades and special events, educational and school activities. The Motor Division is augmented by a group on reserve deputies who serve at the whim of the Sheriff. The Reserve Motor Officers provide their own motorcycles and their own equipment. They work primarily in a public relations capacity and provide their help at no expense to the Sheriff’s Office or to the County taxpayers. Macomb Co. Typically, this program lasts about six months, during which probationary members learn how to use their horse in crowd and traffic control, become skilled marksmen and practice law enforcement techniques.
